  • Yes, meals are served on the weekend, but the menu is more limited. Only bag lunches consisting of sandwiches & chips are offered for lunch rather than a hot entree.

  • You do not need a rental car to participate in any FEI program activity. There is a shopping center with a wide range of stores and other services (post office, dry clearning, bank, drug store, etc.) within walking distance of the FEI campus.

  • Each participant has an individual hotel room. You will be staying at the Red Lion Denver Hotel SE in Aurora. The WMDC staff will make your room reservation. You do not need to contact the hotel unless you have special requirements.  In that case, please contact the WMDC Hotel Coordinator, Kelly Krall, at 303-306-3367.

  • 1. LEAD Certificates are issued for a specific level of leadership. 2. For a given level, you must complete the required number of seminars.  3. The last of the 5 seminars must be completed within 3 years of the start date of the first seminar taken. 4. It is recommended, but not required, to complete the Assessment and Core seminars first, before taking the Policy and Skill categories. 5. You may earn a LEAD Certificate for a level of leadership, even if you are not at that level, but we strongly recommend checking with your training manager to check whether your agency has any specific rules regarding taking seminars for a higher level than your current position.   • The EMDC's Technology Center has computers with internet capability. If you need to access your work email, it will need to be web-based or you may bring your laptop that is configured for VPN. There is also wifi connection at the training center and hotel.

  • Yes, but it is not recommended due to the intense nature of our seminars. If you choose to bring a spouse or guest, the cost for guests 18 years and older is $20/night, children who are 13-17 years old is $10/night and children who are 12 years old and under is free.  Dining room meals cost, per person: Breakfast buffet- $8, Lunch buffet - $9, Dinner buffet - $18. For specific information please call Angie Kutcher, Clarion Hotel EMDC Liaison, at 304-870-7021.

  • The first weekend of each LDS program is a "working weekend" requiring attendance on Saturday and Sunday.    There are no program activities scheduled during the second and third weekend of the seven standard LDS programs offered each year. Program activities end at noon Friday and resume Monday for these sessions.

  • Normally there are no formal sessions in the evenings or weekends. However, participants should be prepared to meet with their presentation teams/consulting groups during evening hours. Denver and the Front Range have much to offer in the way of entertainment. Many participants get together for sightseeing, movies, shopping, skiing, or hiking. There is a fitness center located in the hotel. The hotel bell stand has details and additional information.  Information about the Mile Hi City will help you with your plans.
