I live in a State that is not going to operate its own health insurance Marketplace in 2014. Can I enroll in a Multi-State Plan?

All States will have a Marketplace up and running in 2014, with open enrollment beginning in October 2013, though some will be set up by the Federal Government.  In the first year of operation, the Affordable Care Act requires Multi-State Plan (MSP) options to be available in at least 60 percent of States.  Eventually, these plans will be offered in all States and the District of Columbia through the Marketplace.  Information about the insurers that will offer MSP coverage can be found on the MSP Program website (
