  • No. As a local Colorado resident your agency has elected to have you participate at a discounted tuition rate. This saves your agency the cost of hotel lodging and the full per diem cost. Your tuition includes the cost of lunch, but not breakfast and dinner.

  • Yes, but it is not recommended due to the intense nature of our seminars. There is an additional $10.00 per night room charge for guest(s) staying in your room. If they will be eating with you in the WMDC dining room the charges for guest(s) meals are: Breakfast-$8, Lunch-$12 and Dinner-$15.   • Your agency can purchase a seminar several ways.  How to enroll is easy! For information about registering for MDC seminars, call 304-870-8008 or email us at register@opm.gov. You will be directed to the Customer Service Representative who works with your agency. Tuition that is covered by a training document will be billed at the end of the course. If a purchase card is used for registration it will be processed at the time of registration.

  • The Denver International Airport is approximately 25 miles from the Red Lion Hotel Denver SE. Upon arrival at DIA, proceed to the Baggage Claim Area. Exit through Door 508 of the West Terminal and proceed to Island #3.  Note: Ensure you board the shuttle for the Red Lion Denver Southeast in Aurora.  It is advisable to check with the driver prior to boarding.  The shuttle departs the hotel at the top of the hour and picks up passengers at the airport within the hour under normal weather, traffic and road conditions. Be prepared for up to an hours' wait, depending on  your arrival time. It takes about half an hour each direction during normal traffic and road conditions. Hours for the shuttle are 4am-12pm seven days a week. If you miss the last shuttle due to your arrival time, please call the front desk at 303-695-1700 to request a pick up at West Terminal, Island #3.

  • FEI emails a weekly schedule to participants in the Leadership for a Democratic Society program approximately six weeks before the program start date (or as soon as the agency provides the name and address of a participant whose registration is delayed). For interagency courses, FEI emails a schedule to participants three weeks before the program start date.
