Conference Location

All official conference activities will be held at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel and a block of guest rooms at the hotel has been reserved for OPM conference participants at the Government rate. Special Note: The Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel is now full, but don't panic! This will insure the proper rate is charged for overnight accommodations.

Hotel accommodations are NOT included in the conference registration. You must make your own room reservations directly with the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel.

A block of rooms at the government rate of $109, plus tax, has been reserved at the hotel. Under GSA's revised rules, per diem rates do not include lodging taxes. Attendees may file with their agencies for reimbursement of these taxes under "Miscellaneous Expenses" without going through the "actual expenses" claim process.

When making hotel reservations you should indicate that you are attending the OPM conference. This will insure the proper rate is charged for overnight accommodations. You may lengthen your stay by the weekend prior to and the weekend after the conference at this rate if rooms are available.

Hotel reservations must be made by May 4, 2001, to insure receiving the government rate. Reservations received after May 4th will be accepted on a space available and rate available basis.

Parking is available at the Dominion Towers parking garage adjacent to the Sheraton Hotel for $8 per day. Valet parking is available at the Sheraton Hotel for $12 per day.
