SUBJECT: FEHB Fall Carrier Conference
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and the American Association of Health Plans (AAHP) are excited once again to announce our annual Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program Carrier Conference. This year's conference will address program-wide issues, as well those of special interest to fee-for-service and HMO plans.
This year, we are encouraging plan executives and our plan representatives to attend our conference. Since we will be addressing important policy issues at the conference, we need everyone including decision-makers at the conference so we can receive immediate feedback and buy-in from your organization.
We also want your input! We want your suggestions on the topics that you would like to see presented at this year's conference. What are the issues that most affect your participation in the FEHB Program and that are of most interest to you? We will make every attempt to address your suggested topics at the conference.
We have enclosed a list of possible topics for the conference. Please indicate your preferences and/or suggestions on the enclosure. Please send your responses as soon as possible but no later than September 14, 2001 to inburfor@opm.gov or fax to Ingrid Burford at (202) 606 - 0633.
Dates and Location
The conference will be held on October 22 & 23, 2001 at the following hotel:
Registration will begin on Sunday October 21, 2001 from 5:00 -7:00 PM and continue on Monday, October 22, 2001 from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. On Monday the conference will begin at 9:00 AM and will end with a reception starting at about 5:30 PM. On October 23, sessions begin at 9:00 AM and end at about 3:30 PM that afternoon.Renaissance Washington DC Hotel

Conference Registration
AAHP is handling registration for the conference. The registration fee is $345.00. Conference registration procedures and the registration form are available on the AAHP web site, http://www.aahp.org or call (877) 291 - AAHP. To ensure your place at the conference you must register by September 28, 2001.

Hotel Reservations
The conference guest room rate for either single or a double room is $180.00 plus tax. To make reservations, call the Renaissance at (202) 898 - 9000 or (800) HOTELS-1 by Friday, September 28, 2001, and ask for the OPM/AAHP Fall Plan conference rate.
