The Department of Defense (DOD) has requested our assistance to ensure that you have correct payroll office numbers listed for their employees. Due to DOD's consolidation of payroll offices, you may still show their employees with a payroll office number that is no longer in use. We request that you identify your FEHB subscribers listed with an invalid payroll office number and correct the number.

In addition to the current DOD payroll office numbers beginning with 97, the following DOD payroll office numbers remain valid: 17-062381, 17-062383 and 21-006944. All other payroll office numbers beginning with 17, 21 or 57 should be changed to a correct number. Affected DOD employees were shifted to various payroll office numbers, so you'll need to call DOD to obtain the correct payroll office number for each of your FEHB subscribers you identify as having an invalid DOD payroll office number. Please call Ms. Cheree Peirce at 703-607-5022 to obtain the correct payroll office number. We would appreciate your completing this task by the end of this year before Open Season changes go into effect, and before the FEHB enrollment reconciliation Clearinghouse goes operational next year.
