SUBJECT: Changes to the Standard Contract

2003 Contract Year. Please review the enclosed Standard Contract changes for Federal Employees Health Benefits Program community-rated HMO carriers for Contract Year 2003. If you have comments, please provide them by August 26, 2002. Please also review the entire contract and give us any other comments or suggestions at the same time.

Send your comments to Anne Easton at OPM, with a copy to your OPM contract representative. You may email comments to aseaston@OPM.gov or send them by fax to (202) 606-0633.

2004 Contract Year. Looking forward to 2004, we intend to restate the contract in plain language. We will send you a draft so that you can begin reviewing it immediately after your 2003 contract is signed this Fall.
