SUBJECT: Additional Brochure Changes for 2003

We made four changes to the FFS brochure and three changes to the HMO and New Plan brochures. The changes are listed below:

All Brochures
  • We revised the Long Term Care Section
  • We revised the first bullet in the Children's Equity Section by adding a reference to the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan's Basic Option.
  • Begin numbering the brochure on the Table of Contents page with the number 2. Do not number the Director's Letter or the Privacy Notice.

FFS Brochure
  • We revised the list of medically underserved areas in Section 3 by removing Georgia and adding the states of Louisiana, Maine, and West Virginia.

The new brochure patterns are now available on the carrier web page at (http://www.opm.gov/carrier/index.html). Please review the brochure for your plan type and work with your Contract Specialist to make the changes indicated. The changes are highlighted in the brochure by the Microsoft tracking function of your Microsoft Word program. Thanks for your cooperation.
