SUBJECT: Unsigned SF 2809s

This is to inform you that beginning with the coming 2002 Open Season, the National Security Agency (NSA) will move to a partially-automated enrollment system. NSA employees will enter information into a system located on NSA's internal secure network. Once the change is complete, the system will generate paper forms for transmittal to carriers.

It is expected that NSA will move to a fully-automated enrollment system in the near future. In the meantime, however, carriers must accept and process forms from NSA in which signature blocks contain the notation "electronically signed."
