Throughout the following information, an asterisk (*) stands for series with a published standard and a double asterisk (**) stands for series with a published flysheet.

Occupations in this family are:

7402 Baking*

This occupation includes jobs involved in the preparation of regular and special diet bakery products such as breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, pies, doughnuts, pastries, puddings, fillings, and icings.

7404 Cooking*

This occupation includes jobs involved in cooking regular or special diet foods and meals. This includes cooking meats, fowl, fish, and seafood; cooking frozen, canned, dried, or fresh vegetables; measuring and mixing ingredients for soups, stews, sauces, and special dishes; adding seasoning to food; and regulating cooking temperatures.

7405 Bartending*

This occupation includes jobs involving the mixing and serving of beverages and the support services required for operating a bar. The work requires the ability to mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, meet and converse with the public, and maintain the bar in a presentable and sanitary condition.

7407 Meatcutting*

This occupation includes jobs involving cutting, trimming, and removing bones from meat and preparing and processing fish and poultry. This includes cutting meat into steaks, roasts, chops, cutlets, ground meat, and other small cuts, using powered equipment such as meat saws, slicers, grinders, and hand tools such as meathooks, knives, saws, and cleavers.

7408 Food Service Working*

This occupation includes jobs involved in food service or simple food preparation, or a combination of both. This includes setting and waiting on tables; attending food counters; serving food; assembling trays for hospital patients; washing dishes, pots, and pans; transporting food, equipment, and supplies by manual or motorized carts; assisting in food preparation by cutting vegetables, making salads, etc.

7420 Waiter*

This occupation includes jobs concerned with setting up tables in a dining room, serving the requested selections in the prescribed manner, and clearing the tables upon completion of the meal.
