Professional Recruiting Services

High performing organizations understand that recruitment is an ongoing process. OPM's Professional Recruiting Services will help you attract top performers to your organization. Effective recruitment begins with building your agency's identity for both active and passive job seekers. If potential candidates don't know who you are, what you do or what you can offer them, how can you expect to generate interest in their possible employment with you? OPM will help you build your employer brand and help you market your organization so that you will be successful in attracting and retaining talented employees. Your employer brand will be your agency identifier. It will become the centerpiece of your efforts to describe the kinds of employment opportunities and benefits that potential applicants will want to consider.

An employer brand creates a perception of your organization as an exceptional place to work. A brand identity is the best way for your organization to differentiate itself from all others as a world-class employer.

A recruitment strategy is critical in successfully communicating your employer brand to the various applicant groups. The strategy should include a variety of recruitment options, from on-site recruitment activities to the use of electronic recruitment forums or direct email recruitment contacts with schools and universities. OPM has assisted agencies with all of these options and works with Human Resource offices to design and complete all aspects of these recruitment efforts.

The role of OPM in executing the recruitment strategy will vary depending on the needs of the organization. Some organizations have contracted with OPM to develop the employer brand, provide recruiter and brand awareness training for their recruiters, manage recruitment efforts, and conduct examining. Other organizations have contracted with OPM to develop the employer brand and train their recruiters, while their Delegating Examining Units manage the examining.

We have helped agencies develop:

  • Employer brands and agency logos
  • Recruiting plans and idenfication of specific sources of candidates
  • Professional recruitment materials such as brochures, posters, videos, business cards, CD-ROMs, etc.

Whatever your recruitment objectives, let OPM's Professional Recruitment Services help your agency meet that challenge and fulfill the hiring needs of your managers!
