Figure 1.3 The Individual IT Worker's Relationship to the Roadmap

This figure is also a subset of Figure 1.1. It describes the relationship between individual IT workers and the Roadmap as a two-way relationship. Federal IT workers develop IDPs, perform gap analyses and competency assessments and input this information into the Roadmap. The Roadmap provides feedback to the individual and options to address their training and developmental needs. The figure shows a center circle labeled Roadmap Opportunities with arrows going out above and to the side of the circle to several smaller circles labeled with each Roadmap learning opportunity. A block below the Roadmap opportunities circle labeled Federal IT Workers has a double headed arrow going into the Roadmap opportunities circle. The double headed arrow is labeled IDP, Gap Analysis input, feedback, and competency assessments.
