Life Insurance Program
The FEGLI '99 Open Enrollment Period is over. If you were unable to make an open enrollment election, you may be qualified to make a belated election.
Your human resources office (HRO) can accept an open enrollment period election within 6 months after the end of the open enrollment period (meaning by December 30, 1999). Your HRO must determine that you were unable to make the election during the open enrollment period because of circumstances beyond your control. If your HRO decides that this exception applies, you can elect coverage within 31 days of their determination. You must use the RI 76-27, the FEGLI '99 Open Enrollment Period Election form.
