OPM Continues Televised Federal Recruitment Ad Campaign
Ads Urge Americans to Consider a Career in the Federal Workforce
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Linda M. Springer today announced the continuation of OPM's television recruitment ad campaign designed to raise public awareness of career opportunities available in the Federal government. It will be featured in the Columbus, OH, television market beginning Tuesday, November 7. The ads encourage viewers to visit www.USAJOBS.gov/impact for Federal employment information.
"More than 20,000 jobs are available within the Federal government right now, and we need talented Americans from all educational and employment backgrounds to come check us out and see what we have to offer," Director Springer said. "Whether your background is engineering, accounting, or just about anything else, the Federal government has something for you."
The ads, which premiered at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. earlier this year, have run in 12 media markets across the nation, including Pittsburgh, PA, Fresno, CA, and Wheeling, WV.
Each ad features real Federal workers discussing some of the divergent opportunities available within the Federal workforce. The ads instruct viewers to visit www.USAJOBS.gov/impact for more information and instructions on how to apply.
"More than ever before, the Federal government needs you to come serve your nation as a member of the Federal workforce," Springer concluded. "I encourage Americans throughout Columbus and surrounding communities to visit www.USAJOBS.gov/impact today."
