OPM Selects the Bureau of Public Debt's Administrative Resource Center to Support Its Financial Management Information Systems

Washington, DC - U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Linda M. Springer announced the selection of the Bureau of Public Debt's Administrative Resource Center (ARC) to support OPM's core financial management and procurement systems.

OPM's decision to seek the use of external financial system support was based on its need to generate complete, accurate, reliable, and timely financial information; reflect current technology and facilitate future upgrades and support; and implement recent Joint Financial Management Improvement Program certified enhancements.

"This partnership will enable OPM to conduct all core financial processes in an environment of strong internal controls," said Clarence Crawford, OPM's chief financial officer. "OPM's adoption of ARC's solution enables us to assume lower implementation, operation, and maintenance costs."

ARC is one of four agencies recognized as a center of excellence within the Financial Management Line of Business—an interagency effort chartered by the Office of Management and Budget to standardize data structures and business practices for core accounting systems.
