11, 2002
, the
Office of Personnel Management reversed its decision to terminate special salary
rate table 419. Instead, we
increased the rates on table 419 by the 2002 General Schedule increase of 3.6
percent increase. Table 419 covers
GS-1224 patent examiners (complex-biotechnology) at grades GS-11 and 12.
The increased rates became effective on the
first day of the first pay period beginning on or after
January
1, 2002
.
Patent examiners with the complex-biotechnology parenthetical title are
entitled to receive the greater of the table 419 rate or the table 576 rate for
their step.
