OPM Makes It Even Easier to Customize Your Federal Job Search

The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has introduced a new feature, USAJOBS by Email, to its employment information web site, USAJOBS, that will make it easier for job seekers to customize their search for a federal job.

"This new feature gives people a new tool to help find the career they want," said OPM Director Janice R. Lachance. "I am proud of USAJOBS, and I am very proud of this update."

USAJOBS by Email allows users to focus their job search on up to three different job categories, and sends them current job openings by email. In addition, each time a new job is posted that meets their specific search criteria, it sends an email notification with a link directly to the vacancy announcement.

Individuals may register with USAJOBS by Email by going http://www.USAJOBS.opm.gov and clicking on USAJOBS by Email. They will then be asked to provide their name, email address, and search criteria.

Individuals wishing to participate in the intern program should contact agency human resource offices for information on specific vacancies. Job seekers also are advised to access OPM's web site at http://www.opm.gov for general information and program updates.

Job searches may be edited or deleted at any time, and they will be active for 120 days from the last time the search was created or edited.
