NAFI Program

Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentality (NAFI) Program

Instructions on installing from the file downloaded from the website:

  • Create a temporary directory
  • Download the file naffinst.exe from the OPM website into this directory
  • Expand the self-extracting file naffinst.exe by typing <naffinst.exe> <ENTER> from the DOS prompt or <START>, <RUN>, <(TemporaryDirectory):\nafiinst.exe>, <OK> in Windows 95
  • The self-extraction will produce two files: Setup.exe and Apfsetup.ini
  • Install the program by typing <setup > <ENTER> from the DOS prompt or <START>, <RUN>, < (Temporary Directory):\setup>, <OK> in Windows 95
  • Follow the instructions that will be given by the installation program

Instructions on installing to other machines on a network:

  • Link to the machine to which the self-extracting file nafiinst.exe was downloaded from the website.
  • Go to the temporary directory containing the file Setup.exe.
  • Follow the instructions 5 and 6 above, naming a directory on the correct machine as the target for the programs

Note:

The NAF program is 1.8 megabytes. Depending on your equipment, downloading the file may take up to 20 minutes.
