Alethea Predeoux

Director, Congressional, Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs

Alethea Predeoux is the Director of Congressional, Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs (CLIA) at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) under the Biden-Harris Administration.

Alethea oversees the communication, coordination, and planning of OPM’s legislative and congressional initiatives involving Capitol Hill. She is responsible for ensuring that CLIA works in close collaboration with Congress and other federal agencies to establish and carry out OPM’s legislative program.

Prior to coming to OPM, Alethea, was the Director of Legislative, Political and Grassroots Mobilization for the American Federation of Government Employees, AFL-CIO (AFGE), a federal employee union comprised of more than 300,000 members. At AFGE, Alethea worked to advance the union’s legislative agenda, maintain strong bipartisan Congressional relationships, and protect the rights of the federal workforce.

Alethea is a graduate of Spelman College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She also holds a Master’s in Public Policy from George Mason University.
