Malik Walker is an assistant director in the Office of Public Engagement. He began his work at OPM in 2009 in the Congressional, Legislative, and Intergovernmental Affairs office as a Congressional Relations Officer.
Mr. Walker has also worked on the agency's student programs and mentoring teams as a senior advisor for mentoring and learning. Before joining OPM, Mr. Walker was on the priority placement team for the White House Presidential Personnel Office. He also worked in President Obama's Senate office in constituent services, and served as a special assistant to the state director.
Mr. Walker earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Hampton University and a master's of science in public service management from DePaul University. He is from Raleigh, N.C. and lives in Northern Virginia with his wife.
