    Nathaly Arriola

    Nathaly Arriola is the Deputy Director of Communications and Press Secretary. Before coming to OPM, Nathaly served as Special Assistant for Strategic Communications and Deputy Press Secretary at the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. 

    Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Nathaly served as a spokesperson and spearheaded the Obama Inauguration Committee's efforts to engage national and regional Hispanic media. She also served as the National Coordinator for Hispanic Press for the 2012 Obama for America campaign in Chicago.

    Nathaly began her career on Capitol Hill as a public policy fellow at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, working for the member outreach team in House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer's office. She continued working with the  congressional leadership by assisting the senior advisor for Hispanic and Asian American and Pacific Islander affairs on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's staff. She was later named Press Secretary for Hispanic Media for the Democratic Policy Communications Center.

    Nathaly emigrated from Peru in 1998, and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara.
