Ms. Nina Ferraro serves as Deputy Director of Facilities, Security and Contracting for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. In this capacity, she is responsible for oversight and leadership of OPM’s facilities management, publications, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, physical security, continuity, emergency actions, personnel security programs, and all contracting actions for OPM. She also serves as the Agency’s Senior Procurement Executive.
Prior to joining OPM in November 2013, Ms. Ferraro served for 8 years with the Federal Protective Service (FPS), National Protection and Programs Directorate, Department of Homeland Security as Director for Acquisitions. There, she was responsible for the leadership, oversight and execution of a $1B procurement program in support of the FPS law enforcement and physical security mission. While with FPS, Ms. Ferraro led the realignment and consolidation of the procurement organization and function within the Agency, which resulted in vast improvements in professional certification levels, contracting quality and oversight, and in the delivery best value procurement solutions. Ms. Ferraro also served briefly as the FPS Chief of Staff and Delegations Program Manager during 2012.
Ms. Ferraro worked for over 23 years in various acquisition and leadership positions within the Department of the Navy, most of that time with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. She also served for a brief period as the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization Director for Engineering Field Activity Northeast, and finished her stint with the Navy as the Procurement Director for the Navy Crane Center, responsible for acquiring complex weight handling equipment for Navy activities worldwide.
Ms. Ferraro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, PA, and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA.
