CFC Campaign Results Report (Form 1417) Available Online
The Office of CFC Operations is proud to announce a new Online Form 1417 for reporting CFC 2000 campaign results. The electronic Form 1417 is simple, and the on-screen instructions will help ensure that your organization is able to report results quickly and accurately. Here's how it works:
Beginning Monday, January 29, 2001, PCFOs can come to CFC Operation's homepage (www.opm.gov/cfc) and register as a Form 1417 user. Even if you are not ready to report campaign results, it is important that you come online and register to use the new electronic reporting system. During the registration process, you will be asked to provide contact information, including a valid email address. When registration is complete, you will be emailed a Personal Identification Number (PIN). Please keep this number in a safe place because you will need it when you report campaign results.
Once you have registered and obtained a PIN, you will use your PIN, campaign number, and campaign name to log into the system. The online 1417 looks very much like the paper form you have used before and asks for much of the same information. You may want to prepare this data beforehand but, if you have to exit the program while entering results, your data will be saved and you can return later to finish. Once you have entered your information, you can generate a print-out so you know exactly what information has been entered.
In previous years, the deadline for submitting your campaign results has been set for March 15. In order to meet the early schedule of the regional meetings we ask that you submit your results electronically by Friday, March 2, 2001. If you are unable to meet this deadline, if you have any questions or need technical assistance, please call Lisa Barber at 202/606-2564. Please remember to check our web page at www.opm.gov/cfc for the Form 1417 Registration procedures. We are excited to beable to provide this new way of reporting and look forward to your feedback after you have tried the new system.
Local Applications
CFC applications for local organizations and federations can be downloaded from our website (in English and Spanish). LFCCs are strongly encouraged to use the model application forms provided by OPM. The suggested opening date for acceptance of local applications is March 15, 2001. All local application decisions must be completed by the LFCC no later than May 5, 2001.
Last year, all federation applications were amended to make application requirements uniform for all organizations and federations that participate in the CFC. For details on these revisions issued August 10, 2000 please refer to Memorandum 2000-5 which appears on the CFC website under the heading "CFC Memoranda and Miscellaneous Information".
CFC Regional Workshops: Dates and Budgeting for LFCC Participation
OPM is delighted to announce the 2001 OPM/CFC Regional Workshop The workshops bring together representatives of Local Federal Coordinating Committees (LFCC), Principal Combined Fund Organizations (PCFO) and CFC funded agencies to learn about the latest ways of making the campaign both responsive and successful. This year, workshops will be held in Jacksonville, FL (March 4-7), San Francisco, CA (March 11-14), and Chicago, IL (April 1-4).
This year, we are authorizing PCFOs to include in their 2001-2002 CFC budgetestimated travel expenses to support participation by the LFCC Chair or their designee at a regional meeting. Many LFCC members secure Federal agency sponsorship to attend the regional CFC workshops. In the event this is not feasible, PCFOs may cover these expenses for one member of the LFCC.
Take a moment now to select your preferred location and mark your calendar! Registration information will be available under separate cover within the next few days.
We look forward to seeing you!
