Attached is the 2004 CFC Model Pledge Card. The following changes were made to the pledge card:
Be advised that for the 2005 Campaign, the pledge card will be further modified to give donors the option of authorizing release of the amounts contributed. This change responds to the pledge card survey many of you and a group of donors completed earlier this year. PCFOs are strongly encouraged to begin planning for any necessary software modifications that may be required to implement this change.
We also urge PCFOs to actively require keyworkers or agency coordinators to include the "Unit/Division and Payroll Office No." on every pledge card. This payroll office number is assigned by OPM and is usually the same as the Agency's Locator Code (ALC) assigned by the Department of Treasury. For example, OPM's payroll office number is 24000001, GSA's National Payroll Center's payroll office number is 47000016, and the U.S. Postal Service's payroll office number is 18000009.
As such, staff in the Office of CFC Operations, which is part of the Office of the Director (OD), would enter "OD (the unit/division) and 24000001 (payroll office no.)" in the box.
