Insure FAQ

Question
Did the maximum contribution limits change for Healthcare FSAs in 2018?
Answer

In Rev. Proc. 2017-58 the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced an increase to the annual employee pre-tax contributions allowed under both the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) and Limited Expense Health Flexible Spending Account (LEXFSA) from $2,600 to $2,650. This change did not affect the annual maximum for Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, which remained at $5,000. The increase for the HCFSA and LEXFSA became effective for plans beginning on or after January 1, 2018.
