Retire FAQ

Question
In 2001 I worked for the social security administration. While there I bought my military time for retirement. The SSA had me write the check to the Department of the Interior who I was told was handling those issues. Last year, I looked into my time I had in FERS and discovered that my time that I paid for had never been credited. I had no documentation to prove I had paid. Last week, I found a copy of all of the paperwork that had been mailed to me, including a copy of the check showing I paid for the time back in 2001. How do I go about getting my records corrected and getting my military time credited to my retirement?
Answer
