    Blue Preferred Plus POS – St Louis/Central/SW Areas Patient Safety Initiative

    Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield is continually monitoring available information and evaluating ways to better manage our members' benefits. The structure of our Medical Management Division, along with many of our processes, programs and newer initiatives, work together to support our mutual goals for patient safety.


    We are committed to supporting patient safety efforts in every way possible and work year-round with physicians, hospitals and other health care partners to create safer environments so that all members receive safe, high-quality care. Patient safety initiatives are managed by various business units within Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to streamline program offerings across the organization to meet our member’s needs.
