Regular cholesterol screening for high levels of Low-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol (LDL-C), also known as "bad" cholesterol because high levels lead to serious health problems such as heart disease and stroke, allows you to take preventive steps to lower cholesterol and avoid further cardiovascular damage.
