Agency Training and Oversight (ATO) provides agencies with OPM-Federal Investigative Services' systems training, and executes OPM's oversight responsibilities by conducting Program Reviews of Federal agencies' Personnel Suitability and Security Programs.
ATO currently provides agency training on electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), Position Designation Automated Tool (PDT), and the Central Verification System (CVS) in our Arlington, Virginia training center. One of ATO's crucial roles within OPM is to measure and evaluate each Federal agency's performance in meeting Personnel Suitability and Security guidelines. OPM's oversight responsibilities are derived from Executive Orders 10450 and 10577; Title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.), Chapter 33, Subchapter 1: Sections 3301-3302; and Title 5, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 5, 731 and 732.
