OPM Director Kay Coles James Announces Over 100 Million Visits to Premier Job Seekers Website - usajobs.gov
Over 883,000 New Resumes Created In 15 Months
Washington, D.C. - U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Kay Coles James today announced the usajobs.gov website has recorded over 100 million visits and over 883,000 newly created resumes since the site's new launch in August of 2003.
"The numbers illustrate both the interest and the vast talent pool that wants to serve America in the Federal civil service," stated Director James. "Interest demonstrated on USAJOBS is a reminder of the responsibility of every agency head, every Chief Human Capital Officer and every Federal Human Resource specialist to make certain their teams utilize every tool and flexibility available to them to connect qualified candidates with jobs."
usajobs.gov offers job seekers invaluable, state-of-the-art job search technology that assists them in identifying opportunities which match their skills. It also offers tools to help them learn more about different federal occupations, as well as some self-assessments to identify potential career paths.
Job seekers who wish to receive e-mail notification of new job openings can sign up on the USAJOBS website, www.usajobs.gov, and create up to five job search agents to receive a daily, weekly, or monthly notice of matching job opportunities as they are posted to the website.
As part of President Bush's Management Agenda e-Government initiative, Recruitment One-Stop, USAJOBS is the premier website tool for finding federal jobs, and is the main source of information on federal occupations.
