154 Million Unique Visitors Log On to OPM's www.USAJOBS.gov
Americans embrace OPM's user-friendly site to apply online for federal jobs
Washington, D.C. - Figures released today by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) demonstrate that www.USAJOBS.gov, the federal government's Website announcing federal career opportunities, has logged in 154 million unique visitors since its re-launch in 2003, and 1.7 billion hits. These figures represent an increase of 24 million unique visitors and 300 million hits since last reported in June. In addition, applicants have launched more than one million online applications on the system.
"Through www.USAJOBS.gov the Office of Personnel Management provides a user-friendly Website with a demonstrable value in matching quality applicants to vacancies in the federal workforce," said Norman Enger, Director of the Office of e-Government Initiatives. "USAJOBS.gov places the federal government in the forefront of customer satisfaction in job placement through the use of technology."
The USAJOBS Website is the one-stop source for federal jobs and employment information about the federal government. The site features a high-speed job-search engine, sorting capacities and greater access for disabled users. Other features include the ability to store up to five online resumes, a personal career management home, an option to make resumes searchable by agency recruiters, and an opportunity to apply online.
The most recent American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) E-Government score for the USAJOBS Website remained steady at 77, well above other federal sites. The index ranks more than 80 federal government Websites, which have an average score of 73.5. According to ASCI, Website satisfaction is driven by several common elements: content, functionality, navigation, site performance, look and feel, and search ability.
