WASHINGTON, DC - The month of October is designated as National Work and Family Month. In recognition of this month, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued a memo directing human resources directors to available resources and support programs designed to keep workforces balanced both at the office and the home.
Work-life balance is something OPM is adamant in supporting, as employee well-being is critical to agencies being able to maximize their mission delivery, customer service, and stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Agency HR Directors are encouraged to share OPM’s materials, practices, and programs in order to increase awareness of what’s already available, at no cost, to Federal employees.
This is the 16th year of National Work and Family Month.
