The Office of Evaluations and Inspections (OEI) provides the Inspector General with an alternative method to conduct independent, credible, and thorough reviews of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) programs and operations to prevent waste, fraud and abuse. OEI can quickly analyze OPM concerns or issues that need immediate attention by using a variety of review methods and evaluation techniques. OEI reports provide OPM management with findings and practical recommendations that will assist in enhancing program operations, efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
