The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has a suite of leadership assessments that helps current and aspiring leaders in the Federal Government address these questions. OPM’s leadership assessments are designed to increase self-awareness by providing feedback to participants on where they currently stand in relation to the competencies and characteristics essential to leadership success in the Federal Government. Feedback reports for each assessment also highlight how individual results relate to the OPM Executive Core Qualifications (ECQ) leadership competency model.
These assessments are now available to individual employees for a small fee. Specifically, administration of the OPM Leadership 360™, the OPM Leadership Potential Assessment, and the OPM Leadership Profiler are offered on a periodic basis to individuals for purchase via credit card. This open enrollment approach allows anyone interested in his or her individual development to complete either a single assessment or a combination of these assessments. Additionally, individuals can opt to participate in an individual feedback session or coaching to discuss their assessment results and develop a clear plan to take action on areas they selected to develop.
