Frequently Asked Questions Retirement

Can I still have my 2014 and future 1099R's sent to me by mail?

OPM realizes this may cause a hardship to suddenly stop mailing 1099R's to those individuals who do not have a computer to access their Services on-line account.  Therefore, annuitants and survivors will still be mailed their 1099R next January for the foreseeable future.  However, for those individuals who wish to receive their 1099R’s electronically using Services On Line, they will be able to “opt-in” to receive a copy of it.  This initiative is part of OPM’s process of going “paperless” in the future while still delivering services to our annuitants and survivors. OPM will be introdcuing this new process in stages over the next several years.
