Frequently Asked Questions Insurance

When a dependent becomes of age when can I change to self only coverage?

If your child is your last eligible family member, you may change to a self only enrollment when your child reaches age 26.  If you have other eligible family members, this would not be a qualifying life event for you to change to self only coverage.  If your child is incapable of self-support because of a disability that began before age 26, he/she may be eligible for continued coverage beyond age 26.  Contact your human resources office for additional information.
