Federal Government Archived Operating Status in the Washington, DC, Area
the following message applies only to Friday, February 5, 2010
The Federal Government will be open in the morning operating under an unscheduled leave policy with a planned 4 hour early dismissal.
Employees reporting for work should be dismissed by their agencies 4 hours earlier than their normal departure time from work.
OPM is continuing to closely monitor developing weather conditions should there be a need to reassess the Government's operating status.
This Means . . .
- Employees who cannot report for work may request unscheduled leave for their entire scheduled workday. Employees must notify their supervisors of their intent to take unscheduled leave.
- Emergency employees are expected to report for work on time.
