INCORPORATING THE 1.0 PERCENT JANUARY 2026 GENERAL SCHEDULE INCREASE. THE ABOVE PAY RATES INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENT ORIGINALLY ESTABLISHED DURING THE 3-YEAR PHASE-IN PERIOD FOR THE NONFOREIGN AREAS RETIREMENT EQUITY ASSURANCE ACT OF 2009 (NAREAA). THE NAREAA ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENT IS PAID IN ADDITION TO THE SPECIAL RATE THAT WOULD OTHERWISE APPLY AND, FOR THIS TITLE 5 SPECIAL RATE TABLE, IS EQUAL, AT EACH GRADE AND STEP, TO 17.06 PERCENT (THE 2026 LOCALITY PAY PERCENTAGE IN THE REST OF U.S. LOCALITY PAY AREA) OF EACH EMPLOYEE'S GENERAL SCHEDULE BASE RATE. RATES LIMITED TO THE RATE FOR LEVEL IV OF THE EXECUTIVE SCHEDULE (5 U.S.C. 5305).
