Limited to pilots who are assigned to a position description that requires piloting of aircraft. This table is part of a special rate authorization approved on 12/31/25. This table applies only for GS-1881 Air Interdiction Agent positions within the Department of Homeland Security’s Customs and Border Protection component that meet the coverage conditions of Special Rate Table 0571. Special Rate Tables L001 through L059 within this authorization cover certain law enforcement personnel meeting the definition of law enforcement officers in 5 U.S.C. 5541(3) and 5 CFR 550.103. Special Rate Tables L060 through L118 within this authorization cover certain law enforcement personnel not meeting that definition. The authorization also includes Special Rate Tables L119 through L133, which cover certain law enforcement positions that were already receiving special rates in 2025. Rates Limited to the Rate for Level IV of the Executive Schedule (5 U.S.C. 5305).

Agency Requests for Special Rates

Individuals cannot request a special rate. Requests for special rates must come to OPM through agency headquarters.
