TERMINATION OF THIS TABLE APPROVED ON MARCH 2, 2021, PER DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE REQUEST. POSITIONS IT PREVIOUSLY COVERED NOW RECEIVE MARKET PAY UNDER THE AGENCY'S TITLE 38 AUTHORITY. THE ABOVE PAY RATES INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENT ORIGINALLY ESTABLISHED DURING THE 3-YEAR PHASE-IN PERIOD FOR THE NONFOREIGN AREAS RETIREMENT EQUITY ASSURANCE ACT OF 2009 (NAREAA). THE NAREAA ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENT IS PAID IN ADDITION TO THE SPECIAL RATE THAT WOULD OTHERWISE APPLY AND, FOR THIS TITLE 5 SPECIAL RATE TABLE, IS EQUAL, AT EACH GRADE AND STEP, TO 19.56 PERCENT (THE 2021 LOCALITY PAY PERCENTAGE IN HAWAII) OF EACH EMPLOYEE'S GENERAL SCHEDULE BASE RATE. RATES LIMITED TO THE RATE FOR LEVEL IV OF THE EXECUTIVE SCHEDULE (5 U.S.C. 5305).
