NOTES: This table is part of special rate authorization approved on 12/31/25. This table applies only for pilots who (1) were previously covered by Special Rate Table 558A, and (2) are assigned to a position description that requires piloting of aircraft.

Special Rate Tables L001 through L059 within this authorization cover certain law enforcement personnel meeting the definition of law enforcement officers in 5 U.S.C. 5541(3) and 5 CFR 550.103. Special Rate Tables L060 through L118 within this authorization cover certain law enforcement personnel not meeting that definition. The authorization also includes Special Rate Tables L119 through L133, which cover certain law enforcement positions that were already receiving special rates in 2025.

Coverage under this table is further limited to the categories of employees identified below.

Department of Agriculture coverage is limited to the employees listed below:
(1) in the Law Enforcement and Investigations component of the Forest Service, GS-1801 Law Enforcement Officers and GS-1811 Criminal Investigators who meet the definition of “law enforcement officer” in 5 U.S.C. 5541(3).
(2) in Office of Safety, Security, and Protection, limited to GS-1801 employees providing personal protection services who meet the definition of “law enforcement officer” in 5 U.S.C. 5541(3).

Department of the Interior coverage is limited to employees of the Department (excluding the Office of the Inspector General) in the General Schedule pay system who are (1) properly classified in occupational series 0025, 1801, or 1811 and (2) meet the definition of “law enforcement officer” in 5 U.S.C. 5541(3).

The above pay rates include an additional adjustment originally established during the 3-year phase-in period for the Nonforeign Areas Retirement Equity Assurance act of 2009 (NAREAA). The NAREAA additional adjustment is paid in addition to the special rate that would otherwise apply and, for this title 5 special rate table, is equal, at each grade and step, to 32.36 percent (the 2026 locality pay percentage in Alaska) of each employee's General Schedule base rate.

Rates Limited to the Rate for Level IV of the Executive Schedule (5 U.S.C. 5305).
