October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month
“Despite the significant progress made in reducing violence against women, there is still a long way to go.” The Federal Government is committed to taking steps to address the effects of domestic violence on its workforce, and providing support and assistance to Federal employees whose lives are affected by such violence. In support of these efforts, the 2012 Presidential Memorandum on Establishing Policies for Addressing Domestic Violence in the Federal Workforce, and the 2014 National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, OPM is sharing, and will continue to share, relevant guidance and resources with agencies and employees:
- OPM’s Guide for Agency-Specific Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Policies
- OPM’s Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Stalking Resource List
- The White House’s 1 is 2 Many Campaign
