OPM Director Kay Coles James Announces Hiring of U.S. Marine Veteran Charles Storey to Dallas Field Group

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Director Kay Coles James today announced the hiring of Charles M. Storey, a veteran Marine with extensive private sector experience, as a supervisory human resources specialist at OPM's Dallas Field Group in Dallas, Texas.

"Based on his record, Chuck is an accomplished human resources leader with a very strong list of accomplishments in facilitating organizational effectiveness," stated James. Storey comes to the federal family from AVNET Incorporated, where he served as the vice president in charge of human resources and shared business services.

Storey will manage a staff office that monitors and evaluates Federal agencies' human capital framework and scorecard improvements in human capital management; provides leadership and technical assistance to agencies in Federal human capital matters; conducts human capital agency audits; and works with the Federal Executive Boards, Federal Executive Associations, and other professional organizations to ensure the strategic management of human capital."

Prior to his stint at AVNET, Storey worked at Lockheed Martin Corporation as a senior manager with human resources and administrative services.

Storey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas; a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University; and a Juris Doctorate from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.
