  • Develop assessment questionnaires to be used for candidate ratings.
  • Write clear, informative job opportunity announcements and post them on USAJOBS.
  • Process all applications through the USA Staffing® automated hiring system.
  • Verify minimum qualification requirements for all candidates referred for consideration.
  • Review veterans’ documentation and adjudicate veterans’ preference prior to assignment of veterans’ preference on the final referral list.
  • Verify candidates’ claims of eligibility under the Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) and the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP).
  • Perform a real-time quality review of all candidates to be referred, to ensure their final ratings accurately reflect their possession of the critical competencies for the specific position.
  • Issue competitive, excepted service, and non-competitive referral lists in accordance with merit systems principles and Delegated Examining procedures.
  • Provide written notification to all applicants and answer applicant inquiries about the application procedures.
  • Audit returned certificates of eligibles and sent non-select letters to candidates.
