There will be no immediate changes to the Delegated Examining (DE) training or assessment. Practitioners should continue using their established assessment preparation techniques.

To implement the new guidance, OPM will first update the Delegated Examining Operations Handbook. Following that, the DE training and assessment will be revised to incorporate the updated content, and the assessment will undergo rigorous validation testing to ensure accuracy and reliability. Because these updates require sufficient time to complete, the DE Program Office will keep agencies informed as changes are developed and implemented.
