Requirements for employee performance appraisals should be detailed in the agency's performance system or performance program, which are required by statute to be reviewed by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). If your agency's performance system or program are not certified by OPM, then groups within OPM may be able to assist with developing or reviewing performance appraisals for OPM requirements and quality.
