INCORPORATING THE 1 PERCENT JANUARY 2016 GENERAL SCHEDULE INCREASE. THE ABOVE PAY RATES INCLUDE AN ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENT ORIGINALLY ESTABLISHED DURING THE 3-YEAR PHASE-IN PERIOD FOR THE NONFOREIGN AREAS RETIREMENT EQUITY ASSURANCE ACT OF 2009 (NAREAA). THE NAREAA ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENT IS PAID IN ADDITION TO THE SPECIAL RATE THAT WOULD OTHERWISE APPLY AND, FOR THIS TITLE 5 SPECIAL RATE TABLE AND ALL OTHERS APPLICABLE IN ALASKA, IS EQUAL, AT EACH GRADE AND STEP, TO 25.16 PERCENT (THE 2016 LOCALITY PAY PERCENTAGE IN ALASKA) OF EACH EMPLOYEE'S GENERAL SCHEDULE BASE RATE.
