In September 2013, OPM’s Human Resources Solutions (HRS) launched a new training program, HR Training on Demand (HRToD).  The HRToD program offers HRS’s suite of HR trainings to Federal Human Resources (HR) professionals and supervisors/hiring managers for individual registration.  After successfully delivering its first training,  Job Analysis, HRToD has announced additional courses open for registration! 

All trainings listed will be delivered by experienced HR specialists at OPM Headquarters in Washington, DC. 

Delegated Examining (DE) Certification Training

DATE(S): December 4-6, 2013 (FULL) AND January 7-9, 2014 (OPEN)
TIME: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
COST: $650/person

This 3-day training equips participants with the knowledge and skill required to perform competitive examining. This training is a must for anyone conducting delegated examining (DE) work. An experienced HR instructor guides participants through the DE process, rules, and regulations through lecture, hands-on exercise, and case studies. Classification Refresher Training

DATE(S): December 10-12, 2013 (FULL)
TIME: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
COST: $900/person

In this 3-day refresher training, a federal classification expert will discuss current topics in basic and advanced classification (e.g., the Factor Evaluation Standard and narrative standard formats, defensible evaluation statements, statements of difference, and classifying developmental and supervisory positions). The instructor will review commonly appealed classification decisions, discuss position management issues, and provide an update from OPM's Classification Policy Section.  Previous classification training or experience recommended.  For more information, contact HRTrainingOnDemand@opm.gov.

Foster a Results-Oriented Culture: How to Write Plans and Standards

TIME: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
COST: $350/person

This 1-day workshop on writing performance plans and standards will give you confidence in your performance management planning process.  A Federal performance management expert will provide hands-on training and best practices for writing measurable, results-oriented performance standards, discuss OPM policies and regulations for performance plans, and share tips for coaching others to improve performance standards.
