Alan R. Shaffer
Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Research and Engineering)
Mr. Shaffer is responsible for overseeing DoD’s $37 billion annual Science, Technology, Research, and Engineering programs. He is the DoD principal for Science & Technology multilateral agreements under Technology Cooperation Program with Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and United Kingdom and bilateral Science & Technology with Australia, Republic of Singapore, and UK.
